There are many people living behind closed doors in homes and shelters that are suffering from various life challenges, hunger, fear, sickness and health and are afraid to seek help for various reasons. Some of been victimized, revictimized, traumatized and retraumatized by various life challenges, and/or people, and so their process of self-care is to shut down and isolate themselves from the community and programs.
