The Initiative
Mission
The Urban Rebuilding
Initiative aims to organize and work amongst working
class and poor people across New York State to raise socio-economic awareness and lobbying
influence as well as creating employment and developing community empowerment
programs for marginalized and disenfranchised communities. The Urban Rebuilding
Initiative takes on issues in the community such as; discrimination, affordable
housing, quality education, and better public services. We work to develop and support sustainable community
empowerment programs for low to moderate income communities, while providing
ways to increase awareness, participation and resources that help individuals
and neighborhoods across the City.....
Urban Rebuilding Initiative works to empower communities in order to establish
political accountability and influence decision-makers to vote in
their constituents’ best interest. Our group is based on the belief that the people's needs are of the utmost
importance. Our entire team and members are committed to meeting those needs.
